Okay here are the things that have made this week amazing:
First: Dad e-mails me and says "Hey Jenn, your older brother is renting a house on Martha's Vineyard this summer and we are planning to go stay with him for a few days. Would you like to come? Regardless of where you end up going to school next year it will not conflict."
I reply: "Ummm, obviously I would absolutely love to go!"
He says "Great, as it turns out your sister and her family will be there too so you will get to see all of your niece/nephews!"
Second: The Gan (daycare center where I work with adorable Ethiopian children) reopened so I got to see all the cute kiddos I absolutely adore.
Third: My friend Ryan and I got off the kibbutz to get a real meal at a real restaurant. We ended up at this amazing Moroccan restaurant. It had recently opened, so the chef came over and talked to us and catered a meal to us. It was so delicious and wonderful.
Fourth: I found really cheap plane tickets that take me from Italy to England and from England home. This is great because both are direct flights and I will get to visit friends in England for 3 days. It is also fantastic because I will get back home on June 13 so I can see my friends and family again who I miss intensely.
Fifth (and perhaps most exciting): As I was walking past the Ulpan office, Boris said "Jenn, you have a package." I knew this was most likely from a college telling me whether I'd been accepted or not. I pretty much freaked out. It was a big envelope.... and I GOT INTO COLGATE!!!!! I haven't heard from anywhere else yet, so it's exciting to get in somewhere. Also, on my acceptance letter, there was a handwritten note about how my travels were really cool and impressive. I jumped up and down and screamed and am really happy. I don't know if I'll go there or not, but it's a big self-esteem boost and a nice security blanket to know I'm in somewhere.
Sixth: I got an e-mail from the Kibbutz Program Center saying that lots of people have been reading *this* blog and really like it. MASA, which organizes and funds tons of programs in Israel for young Jews, wants to interview me about my Kibbutz experience. Which is pretty freaking exciting. And I guess I have Eric to thank for all this because he e-mailed the link to my blog to the Kibbutz Program Center.
So that's what's been going on thus far this week to make it unbelievably incredible. And the week's not even over yet! Fingers crossed for more acceptances! Anyway, I'll keep you all updated... I'm going to go watch Anchorman now and probably laugh hysterically. Peace out.

I'm studying for discrete math, not working on a kibbutz. I think you're having more fun than I am. Congratulations on Colgate. I also remember when I got accepted to Claremont McKenna, it was about this time last year and it was the best feeling in the world, so I know how you feel.
So you're home June 16th? I'll be back on the first. Let me know when you return. I want some stories.
